				Subconcious Interview Jess R. Age 17, Dimond High AlaskanBands.com September ,26 ,2002

		I got the pleasure of spending about ten minutes with the local heavy metal band Subconscious. I will admit that they are nuts, but they produce good music, so I forgive them. The guys have been together for a year and a half, and Subconscious is finally putting out a CD. They are recording the CD in a home recording studio, but are not sure when it might be out. Subconscious resides in Anchorage for the time being, but after high school, the four of them want to move to Seattle. Influenced strongly by bands such as Glass Jaw, StainD, MuDvAyNe, and the Deftones, Subconscious members, Dan (vocals), Hayden (bass), Ari (guitar), and Axel (drums), love their music. I asked the guys if they could name one favorite band, which is a hard question for most, but none of them could. Ari was torn mainly between early KoRn and StainD, the others just couldn’t make up their minds. Although they lived one of their dreams, opening for Skinlab on the 15th, Dan still would like to open and be on stage with Glass Jaw, Ari with StainD, Hayden Matt Hopper, or Pantera, and Axel with the Deftones. Plans are still strong for most of them to go to college, Hayden already being there though, still asks his mom to make his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you have yet to hear Subconscious play live, I suggest you visit one of the three following dates: October 2nd at Koots with 36 Crazyfists, October 4th at UAA in the Den and the 5th of October at the 4th Avenue Theatre with 36 Crazyfists.
